This iPod nano service manual consists of the following step by step information : Removing the Shell / Plastic Covers, Battery Removal, Hard Drive Removal, Headphone Jack Board Removal, LCD Screen Removal, and ClickWheel Removal. Before proceeding, you have to follow the previous instructions in removing the Mini out of the shell. The battery is connected to the logic board by two wires that lead into a connector which plugs into another connector on the logic board. (Think of it as an electrical plug) If you grasp the wire and gently pull up, the two connectors will separate and the battery will come free.
