2003 Mitsubishi Outlander road test report from NRMA Consulting on March 2003 stated that the best things about the vehicle are the comfortable and sure footed ride, constant AWD which offers improved safety, good interior space and versatility. However, there are worst things too, including the leisurely performance off the mark, distinctive frontal styling may not appeal, and not available with a manual transmission.
The compact all wheel drive (AWD) marketplace has delighted especially healthy sales in late times with a number of new and very well offerings contending for a share of sales. Among the latest releases is an all-new wagon called the Outlander, that Mitsubishi designates to market as an ‘adventure picnicker’. While it is determine to replace the iO, which is currently in expire mode, the Outlander is a larger vehicle that offers significantly more interior space.
The all-new Outlander is a steady AWD wagon that is powered by a 2.4 litre fuel injected engine. Longer and wider than any of its rivals, Outlander offers good interior space and versatility. Mitsubishi’s Outlander is a more than upstanding replacement for the iO and should play a more significant role in the compact allterrain section as a result of broader charm.
The technical specifications of the vehicle like the engine, transmission, wheels, tyres, steering, dimensions, towing, and the test result is also available in the file.
